Job summary

Majestic Care of Fort Wayne is seeking a Maintenance Director to supervise the maintenance department and ensure the efficient operation of the physical plant, environmental systems, and the upkeep of community grounds.

You will develop preventive maintenance programs, manage the department budget, and coordinate with design engineers on equipment needs, while delivering courteous and professional service to residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred.
• Ability to use computers and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Three years of experience in building maintenance; one year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Daily follow up of the TELS system for building management and tracking of Life Safety and maintenance services/repairs.
• Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous heat, power, gas, or air for operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and ensure all preventive maintenance requirements are met in a timely manner; compliant with state/federal and manufacturer guidelines.
• Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds.
• Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs with design engineers.
• Direct the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
• Provide empathy, courteous, professional workplace behavior and customer service to residents, Care Team Members, vendors, visitors and family members.
