Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Wooster, OH is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support our senior living communities. The role focuses on building and maintaining structures, and performing routine repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will organize fire drills, maintain safety records, inspect extinguishers, and assist the Fire Marshal. The position offers competitive pay based on experience and a range of benefits including

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High school education preferred.
• 2 years experience in related field.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Build various structures using different materials.
• Organize fire drills and maintain records.
• Inspect extinguishers and assist Fire Marshal with inspections.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs such as replacing and unclogging hair traps, unclogging toilets, repairing washers and dryers, replacing broken pipes/water lines.
• Follow established maintenance policies and procedures.
• Make environmental rounds routinely and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Supervise maintenance department personnel.
