The Springs at Whitefish seeks an experienced Director of Plant Operations for our Assisted Living & Memory Care community in Whitefish, MT. This role leads maintenance, housekeeping, and facilities management to ensure safe, comfortable living spaces for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, a hands-on approach, and a track record of managing budgets, vendor relationships, and emergency systems.

Qualifications

• Previous professional maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with concrete variables with limited standardization.
• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, spreadsheet, etc.
• Experience in senior housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior facilities daily, including building, lawn, walkways, driveways, and parking areas.
• Maintain interior facilities including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen.
• Interview, hire, supervise and support reporting positions.
• Repair facility equipment or coordinate repairs with contractors.
• Ensure proper storage of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Serve as contact for resident/employee tech issues, security cameras, doors, and campus systems.
• Support facility emergency preparation and fire safety systems.
• Order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget.

Job Description

The Springs at Whitefish is currently seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations for our Assisted Living & Memory Care community. Our setting is unique and our commitment to compassionate quality care is truly distinctive.

Responsibilities include:

• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance of facility exterior, including building, lawn, plant and/or flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking lot, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.


• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance and housekeeping of facility interior, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.


• Interviews, hires, supervises and supports reporting positions.


• Repairs facility equipment or facilitates repair by contracted maintenance services personnel.


• Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely.


• Serves as the contact person for all resident/employee phone, cable and computer issues, security camera, door locks, Ciscor and any other campus-wide systems.


• Performs duties associated with facility emergency preparation and response systems, including but not limited to fire safety.


• Orders maintenance and housekeeping equipment and supplies, adhering to department budgets.

The ideal candidate is friendly, observant, and flexible, with a team player mentality.

Qualifications

• Previous professional maintenance experience


• Maintains current and appropriate drivers' license and safe driving record.


• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.


• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.


• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.


• Experience in senior housing is preferred
