Job summary

The Springs at Whitefish, part of The Springs Living, LLC, seeks an experienced Director of Plant Operations for its Assisted Living & Memory Care community. The role leads daily maintenance, housekeeping coordination, and campus systems, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and families.

You will hire, supervise, and develop maintenance staff, manage budgets, and coordinate service providers while upholding our commitment to compassionate, quality care and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous professional maintenance experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
• Ability to solve practical problems with variable situations.
• Proficient PC skills including email, records, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics.
• Experience in senior housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily exterior maintenance of the facility and grounds.
• Oversees interior maintenance and housekeeping of resident areas and common spaces.
• Interviews, hires, supervises and supports reporting positions.
• Repairs facility equipment or coordinates repairs with vendors.
• Ensures safe storage of equipment and supplies.
• Acts as primary contact for resident/employee tech issues and campus systems.
• Manages emergency prep and response systems, including fire safety.
• Orders maintenance and housekeeping supplies within budget.

Job Description

The Springs at Whitefish is currently seeking an experienced Director of Plant Operations for our Assisted Living & Memory Care community. Our setting is unique and our commitment to compassionate quality care is truly distinctive.

Responsibilities Include

• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance of facility exterior, including building, lawn, plant and/or flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking lot, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Assures proper and consistent daily maintenance and housekeeping of facility interior, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Interviews, hires, supervises and supports reporting positions.
• Repairs facility equipment or facilitates repair by contracted maintenance services personnel.
• Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely.
• Serves as the contact person for all resident/employee phone, cable and computer issues, security camera, door locks, Ciscor and any other campus-wide systems.
• Performs duties associated with facility emergency preparation and response systems, including but not limited to fire safety.
• Orders maintenance and housekeeping equipment and supplies, adhering to department budgets.

Qualifications

• Previous professional maintenance experience
• Maintains current and appropriate driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Experience in senior housing is preferred
