Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Director for our senior living community in West Allis, Wisconsin.

You will oversee preventive maintenance of the building, equipment and grounds, coordinating with licensed vendors and responding to emergencies outside normal hours.

This role requires strong safety awareness, team leadership and a hands-on approach to repairs and resident support, with a focus on dependable, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance.
• Experience managing a team.
• Plumbing knowledge (fixtures, drains, hot water heaters, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility building, equipment and grounds and troubleshoot maintenance problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Assist residents with moving and minor repairs.
• Work with administration-approved licensed vendors as needed.

About the Opportunity

The Maintenance Director is responsible for the ongoing preventative maintenance of the facility building, equipment and grounds and for troubleshooting maintenance problems when they arise. Ensures that maintenance services are available for emergency needs that may arise outside of regular working hours. Performs most tasks independently and utilizes properly licensed vendors approved by administration for assistance with tasks when needed. Assists residents with moving and minor repairs.

• Practices good safety awareness and follows safety procedures, including infection control measures where applicable.
• Ability to be self-supervising and self-motivating. Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience in managing a team.
• Plumbing, including but not limited to design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; must have clean driving record with no major violations.
