Poplar Hill Health and Rehab in Warrenton, VA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Director to join our team. You will oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring safety, reliability, and proper functioning of the building.

You will lead a maintenance team, coordinate repairs, monitor fire alarm and emergency generator systems, manage supplies, and collaborate with other departments to keep the facility in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or technical training is preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance and power plant work experience are preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and related mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, directs, and supervises maintenance and repairs involving the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Maintains the building in good repair, free of hazards, and in compliance with laws.
• Conducts monthly tests of fire alarm and emergency generator system and keeps required records.
• Performs routine maintenance checks, minor carpentry, and painting as needed.
• Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments.
• Onboards and trains maintenance staff on safety procedures.

Job Summary:

Poplar Hill Health and Rehab in Warrenton, VA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Director to join our team! As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities, ensuring the safety, security, and proper functioning of our building.

Responsibilities:

• Organizes, directs, and supervises maintenance and repairs involving the buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Maintains the building in good repair, free of hazards, and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
• Conducts monthly tests of fire alarm and emergency generator system, and keeps required records
• Performs routine maintenance checks, performs minor carpentry work, and paints as needed
• Coordinates maintenance and repair activities with other departments
• Orients and instructs all maintenance personnel and trains new employees on safety procedures
• Remains on-call for emergencies and attends department head meetings and required committees
• Orders all maintenance supplies through the purchasing agent or administrator

Requirements:

• High School graduate or graduate of Technical School preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and power plant work preferred
• Thorough knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and allied machinery, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

Salary range is $70k - $75k depending on qualifications and experience.
