Job summary

Edgewood Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Port Clinton, OH is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance team and keep the facility safe, comfortable, and welcoming for residents.

In this leadership role you will oversee daily maintenance operations, manage HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, ensure Life Safety Code compliance, coordinate with contractors, and drive preventative maintenance while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Life Safety Code, OSHA standards, and healthcare regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
• Perform and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the building.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Life Safety Code requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections and proactively identify areas needing attention.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for repairs and specialized services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, fire safety procedures, and regulatory survey readiness.
• Work collaboratively with facility leadership and department heads to support daily operations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance concerns while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
