Job summary

Tutera Senior Living and Health Care in Marion, IA is seeking a Maintenance Director to supervise the maintenance department and ensure compliance with federal, state and local codes. You’ll keep the community safe, sanitary and attractive, maintaining all electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and general facilities.

You will also oversee laundry services and lead a team to deliver reliable, high-quality upkeep while modeling a professional image and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of supervisory maintenance experience.
• Prior maintenance experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
• Must possess knowledge of laundry, housekeeping and maintenance procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional image in appearance and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance department activities to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and building codes.
• Keep the community sanitary, attractive, and in good repair; address hazards in electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental center compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will also ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems. This position is also responsible for the provision of quality laundry service.

• High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
