Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead campus maintenance, oversee preventative programs, building systems, grounds, regulatory compliance, and capital projects. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to keep facilities safe and welcoming for residents and staff.

We offer a full-time schedule (7:30am–4:00pm) with every 6th weekend and holiday on-call rotations, plus competitive pay and a broad benefits package designed to support

Responsibilities

• Provide training and contribute to evaluations of co-workers.
• Continually monitors and determines re-ordering needs for certain products.
• Assists residents when moving, including but not limited to transporting furniture and pre-boxed personal belongings.
• Surveys vacant units to determine and address needs; including but not limited to carpet cleaning/shampooing, spackling, painting, etc.
• Maintains all lawns and shrubbery, including but not limited to watering, weeding, mowing, replacing, seeding, and trimming, along with snow removal in winter.
• Performs repairs for malfunctioning facility equipment, including but not limited to clogged drains, leaky faucets, stopped commodes, ice machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, heat pumps, etc.

Pay starts at $28.00/hour with the opportunity to earn more based on experience At Country Meadows, our Maintenance Director plays a vital leadership role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and co-workers. This position oversees all aspects of campus maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance programs, building systems, grounds management, regulatory compliance, and capital improvement projects. As a hands-on leader, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures the campus remains in excellent condition while providing exceptional service and support to residents. Maintenance Director Requirements

• Must be capable of using hand tools, drills, plungers, carpet cleaners, vacuum cleaners, vacuum backpacks, mowers, snow blowers, tractors, motor vehicles, and dishwashers.
• Must be able to understand and empathize with the needs of our residents and fellow co-workers.
• Must be able to readily perform tasks under emergency and weather-related situations.
• Valid driver's license; must have a clean driving record with no major violations
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of this role.
