Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in a long-term care facility. The role ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and the Administrator may direct priorities as needed.

The position requires leadership to supervise maintenance programs, coordinate activities with other departments, and provide necessary reports for effective facility operations.

• Former Maintenance Department experience
• Must have patience, tact, a pleasant disposition & enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents based on their maturity level

• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance services with other departments and provide reports/recommendations to the Administrator regarding the Maintenance Department’s operation.

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current, federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related department. Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Long Term Care Care.

Former Maintenance Department experience.
