Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must be dependable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility, grounds, equipment, and systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for safety and operation.
• Conduct regular inspections for maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and equipment issues.

RYZE at the Ridge is seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall upkeep of the facility. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems are properly maintained and operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on maintenance experience, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage preventative maintenance, repairs, vendors, and day‑to‑day facility needs in a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility, grounds, equipment, and building systems.

• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.

• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and building systems remain safe and operational.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds to identify maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and equipment issues.

• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors and contractors.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and other required documentation.

• Ensure the facility complies with applicable safety regulations, building codes, fire and life safety requirements, and other regulatory standards.

• Prepare the facility for regulatory inspections and address identified deficiencies in a timely manner.

• Manage, schedule, and provide direction to maintenance staff as applicable.

• Maintain adequate inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.

• Work closely with nursing, dietary, housekeeping, and other departments to address facility needs and minimize disruptions to resident care.

• Monitor facility safety and ensure hazards are identified and corrected promptly.

• Assist with emergency preparedness and facility disaster plans.

• Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the building and grounds.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance or facilities management experience; healthcare or skilled nursing experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and facility safety requirements.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs.

• Ability to respond to emergencies and maintenance issues as needed.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.

• Must be dependable, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
