Job summary

Kadima Health and Nursing at Cheswick is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the general and preventive maintenance of the facility's physical plant and grounds, ensuring compliance with Kadima's policies and facility regulations.

You will supervise the Maintenance Service team, orient new staff, handle supply requests, and maintain grounds to support a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience managing facility maintenance programs in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to oversee maintenance staff and coordinate work orders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the facility and department is maintained as required by regulation.
• Ensure that supplies are requested, approved and ordered according to policy.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control, waste disposal and Universal Precautions policies and procedures to ensure that sanitary environment is maintained at all times and that aseptic and isolation techniques are followed by all responsible personnel
• Oversee Maintenance Service department employees on a daily basis
• Orients new employees to maintenance duties
• Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff by maintaining lawn and shrubs, snow removal, and picking up of litter and other debris
• Perform other duties as assigned.
