Job summary

Arcadia Care in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and direct the maintenance department to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff. This role requires coordinating with other departments, developing programs, and reporting to the Administrator to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Full-time, Part-time, or PRN options available.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a maintenance team.
• Proven ability to plan, direct, and evaluate maintenance programs.
• Experience in long-term care setting preferred.

SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current, federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

• Full-time, Part-time, PRN available

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department.
• Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related department. Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Maintenance Department.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Long Term Care Care.

Former Maintenance Department experience.

Must have patience, tact, a pleasent disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
