The City of Conroe seeks a Maintenance Crew Leader I for the Public Works Streets Department. JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Crew Leader I performs various duties including driving dump truck and operating equipment, as well as making small repairs and daily maintenance to trucks and equipment used. Other duties include construction related to street and drainage installation and/or maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess a valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDES:
Bulldozers, backhoes, trenchers, dump trucks, trackhoes, loaders
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy and requires the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
