Job summary

REQUEST FOODS INC. in Holland, MI seeks a Maintenance Crew Lead to direct the maintenance team on 3rd shift, enforce safety rules, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with the Maintenance Manager, and maintain records for compliance and efficiency. You should have strong leadership, 5 years supervisory experience, knowledge of maintenance procedures, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a skilled trades field.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, production processes, and facility maintenance.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Familiarity with SAP software (preferred).

Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Crew Lead, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, leading, and mentoring the activities of the maintenance team. Your role will involve enforcing safety and other applicable rules and regulations, as well as planning, establishing, and assigning work schedules, assignments, and work orders to ensure department goals are met. You will maintain a safe and productive work environment by following all applicable regulations and train and develop the team for success in company goals and future opportunities.

Creating a positive and highly effective working environment is crucial, and you will confer with the Request Foods Maintenance Manager and other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. Additionally, you will maintain related records, logs, and paperwork, ensuring all team members are utilizing time effectively. Inspecting materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, observing work, and monitoring the completion of tasks and work orders will be part of your responsibilities. You will also confer with management, peers, and others to resolve team member complaints, coordinate work orders, production, vendors, and contractors, and perform other duties as assigned.
