Job summary

HNI Corporation is offering a Maintenance Apprenticeship in Muscatine, IA. This program combines online curriculum, vendor partnerships, and in-house expertise to deliver a well-rounded apprenticeship, with opportunities to advance to a Maintenance Technician within HNI.

Ideal candidates have experience in industrial maintenance or related fields; a tech-school program is beneficial, and no formal education is required.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates would have prior Industrial, Manufacturing, Agricultural, or Mechanical Maintenance experience.
• Completion of an advanced technology program or degree at a technical school would be very beneficial.
• No prior education or training is required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs production and any specialized equipment.
• Focus areas include hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, lubrication and pumps.
• Maintains instrument/vision systems, piping/plumbing, electrical theory, mechanical operations, motors and robotics, and paint oven processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs production and any specialized equipment involving:

• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Power Transmission, Lubrication and Pumps
• Instrument/Vision Systems (Repair, Install, and Troubleshoot)
• Piping and plumbing
• Electrical Theory
• Mechanical Operations
• Motors, Automation and Robotics (Maintain and Repair)
• Paint Oven Process Heating, Paint Oven Controls and Troubles

Work Environment/ Physical Conditions:

• Dust, fumes and noise are commonplace
• Seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
• Stand and/or work for up to 10-hours per day
• Lift and carry up to 40lbs on a continuous basis

Experience Needed:
