Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Maintenance Cost Specialist to join our Project Controls Team in the Orange, TX area. This role focuses on quantitative analysis of cost and schedule to provide management with data to make sound business decisions and ensure project budgets are met.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of cost control and analyst experience, familiarity with cost accounting concepts, and proficiency in JD Edwards, SAP, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Two years of cost control and analyst experience in industrial maintenance, capital projects, and/or outages/turnarounds.
• Four years of jobsite cost specialist experience or a BS in Business Admin, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong background in cost control and cost Analyst roles.
• Knowledge of cost accounting terminology, methodologies, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent mathematical skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; ability to read/write in English.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and control cost, general accounting, and cost reporting for projects.
• Collaborate with project management to explain cost variances and their impact on budgets.
• Prepare cost reports and support data-driven decisions for maintenance, turnarounds, and small capital projects.
