Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to keep the Greenwood branch clean and in good working order, ensuring a safe and well-kept home for residents. A valid driver’s license and safety-focused approach are required, with CPR/First Aid certification encouraged or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities include maintaining branch standards, scheduling preventive maintenance, coordinating service contracts, and ensuring move-in readiness within 3 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Branch to a standard of excellence reflecting quality of care.
• Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Notify the Director when outside services are needed for complex issues.
• Ensure apartments are move-in-ready within 3 days after move-out.
• Assist in arranging service contracts and bids as assigned.
• Complete items from Maintenance Request forms promptly.
• Manage Preventive Maintenance Schedule to ensure timely completion.
• Order supplies and chemicals as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies using the correct Bickford procedures.
• Ensure equipment is safe, in good working order and properly used.
• Complete Resident Monitoring System and Exit Door checklists as scheduled.
• Perform emergency tests as per Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
• Store chemicals securely with proper labeling and PPE.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Branch to a standard of excellence that reflects the quality of care we provide our residents.


• Prioritize and complete all maintenance tasks timely.


• Address maintenance issues promptly, notifying the Director when outside services are needed.


• Ensure all apartments are move-in-ready within 3 days after move-out.


• Assist in arranging service contracts and bids as assigned.


• Promptly complete items from Maintenance Request forms.


• Manage the Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule to ensure items are completed timely.


• Order supplies/chemicals as assigned.


• Identify emergency situations and respond appropriately using the applicable Bickford procedure.


• Ensure equipment remains in working order and is used safely.


• Complete Resident Monitoring System Testing Procedure Checklist as scheduled.


• Complete the Exit Door Inspection Checklist as scheduled.


• Perform emergency tests according to the Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule.


• Ensure chemicals utilized are securely stored, labeled, and used per directions, and appropriate PPE is worn.


• Ensure OSHA compliance while working in the Branch.


• Complete tasks necessary to comply with all applicable state and federal regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.


• Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require.


• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or willingness to obtain.


• Ability to handle multiple priorities.


• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.


• Competent in organizational and time management skills.


• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
