Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator in an on-site role in Ohio. You will lead maintenance execution, coordinating people, resources, and priorities to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

You will work with operations, reliability, and engineering teams to solve challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will supervise maintenance activities, develop schedules, and provide technical guidance to technicians and operators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial environments.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities and reliability-focused initiatives.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety excellence by ensuring maintenance activities are planned and executed safely and in compliance with site requirements.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work to improve equipment reliability and production uptime.
• Collaborate with operations, reliability, and engineering teams to address recurring equipment issues and RCA investigations.
• Monitor metrics like OAU and OEE and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate availability of maintenance materials and parts with planners.
• Develop and communicate daily/weekly maintenance schedules to optimize workforce efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and operations staff.
• Support capital projects by identifying improvements and assisting with commissioning/start-up.
• Oversee specialized maintenance work by external contractors as needed.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operation running safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this highly visible position, you'll be the driving force behind maintenance execution, coordinating people, resources, and priorities in order to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime. In This Role You’ll

• Champion a culture of safety excellence by ensuring maintenance activities are planned and executed responsibly and in compliance with site safety requirements.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work that improves equipment reliability, asset utilization, and production uptime.
• Partner with operations, reliability, and engineering teams to identify recurring equipment issues and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
• Monitor performance metrics such as Overall Asset Utilization (OAU) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and help implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with planners to facilitate the timely availability of maintenance materials and parts.
• Develop and communicate daily and weekly maintenance schedules to optimize workforce efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to maintenance technicians and operations personnel.
• Support capital projects by identifying improvement opportunities, providing business justification, and assisting with commissioning and start-up activities.
• Coordinate and oversee specialized maintenance work performed by external contractors as needed.

Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial environment, preferably within chemical processing or manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating maintenance activities and successfully executing reliability-focused initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP maintenance systems.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
• Ability to assess, develop, and coach employee technical capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving technologies and maintenance practices.

Preferred Qualifications That Drive You Forward

• Associate degree or technical certification in maintenance, industrial technology, engineering technology, or related field.
• Previous supervisory, team leadership, or maintenance coordination experience in an industrial setting.
