Job summary

Tarkett seeks a Maintenance Controls Technician for our Middlefield, Ohio plant. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, read ladder logic and schematics, and help develop the maintenance team in a safety‑driven environment.

Join a facility focused on safe, reliable manufacturing with ongoing process improvements. Prior PLC and CAD experience preferred; strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience and training.
• 3-5 years of plant or related field experience.
• Ability to read ladder logic and schematics for troubleshooting.
• Ability to create and modify CAD drawings and schematics.
• Able to comply with Arc Flash and LOTO safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist on shop floor issues including breakdowns, process development, and tooling changes.
• Troubleshoot controls issues using computers and supplier software.
• Identify and implement projects to improve processes, training and operations.
• Maintain and update drawings when equipment or programming changes are made.
• Assist in development of maintenance team members and ensure safety rules.

Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Maintenance Controls Technician in our Middlefield, Ohio Manufacturing Plant.Tarkett is seeking an experienced and strategic Maintenance Controls Technician to join our successful team in Middlefield, Ohio. In this position you will be seen as a key technical resource for supporting our rubber flooring operations by troubleshooting with the team on mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This position requires a hands on approach that helps with problem solving, training and teaching Maintenance personnel and apprentices.Responsibilities:Assists on any issue that could arise on the shop floor including breakdowns, new process development, continuous improvement, tooling changes, etc. Includes issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, programming, electrical, etcTroubleshoot controls issues utilizing computers and supplier softwareIdentify and implement projects to will improve processes, training, operations, etcMaintain and update drawings when changes are made to equipment or programmingAssist in the development of our maintenance team membersMust be responsible for observing all safety rules and regulations.
