Position Title: Maintenance Controls Technician

Pay Rate: $31.63/hr. up to $36.39/hr.

Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time
Onsite Monday – Friday
Shift coverage as needed including nights, weekends and possible holidays

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Follow all safety rules and practices, working safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures and identifying unsafe conditions or actions to management immediately.
  • Perform maintenance functions making repairs such as but not limited to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, design, peripheral device programming, machine programming & plumbing, under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance duties such as but not limited to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, HVAC repairs.
  • Accurately read gauges and other test equipment.
  • Utilize basic shop math and inspecting.
  • Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits.
  • This person will also be assigned to clean-up functions as needed such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • 2 years of related mechanical experience working in an industrial manufacturing production environment.
  • Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge in the following areas: Electrical circuit troubleshooting, plumbing, pneumatics, mobile equipment, Mig welding.
  • Ability to update & create electrical drawings.
  • Ability to adapt to change, problem solve and prioritize work.
  • Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently.
  • Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days.
  • Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics, piping diagrams, in orthographic, isometric, and sketch-views.
  • Reading factory orders.
  • Action oriented.
  • Customer/Quality Focused.
  • Priority Setting.
