Job summary

Frontier Airlines in Denver seeks a Maintenance Controller (MCC) to manage real-time maintenance operations and serve as the primary contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet mechanical status.

You will work across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering and SOC to coordinate recovery efforts, supporting safe, compliant and reliable operations while helping reduce aircraft downtime and schedule impact.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of airline maintenance practices, FARs and Frontier General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures.
  • 5 years of Line Maintenance experience, or 2 years of C-Check experience and 2 years of avionics troubleshooting experience.
  • Excellent Airbus systems knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Flight Operations Management, flight crews and Dispatch.
  • Ability to plan, organize and administer workloads to subordinates.

  • Ability to attend and successfully complete the Maintenance Training Required Inspection Item course.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance operations on a shift basis and maintain positive operational control and situational awareness of out-of-service aircraft.
  • Serve as a primary contact for aircraft out-of-service events and fleet mechanical status.
  • Coordinate aircraft recovery efforts across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering and SOC.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel on technical, operational and procedural matters.
  • Authorize MEL/CDL deferrals in accordance with Frontier procedures.

As a Maintenance Controller (MCC) at Frontier Airlines,you’llmanage real-time maintenance operations and serve as a primary point of contact foraircraftout-of-service events and fleet mechanical status.

Working across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering, the System Operations Center (SOC)and maintenance vendors,you’llcoordinate recovery efforts that support safe,compliantand reliable operations while helping reduceaircraftdowntime and schedule impact.

This position reports to the SeniorManagerMCC / Maintenance Planning, Technical Services.

Required qualifications:

What does a Maintenance Controller do at Frontier Airlines?
  • Manage maintenance operations on a shift basis andmaintainpositive operational control and situational awareness of out-of-serviceaircraft
  • Serve as a primary contact foraircraftout-of-service events and fleet mechanical status
  • Coordinateaircraftrecovery efforts across Maintenance, Material Services, Technical Support, Engineering and SOC
  • Providetechnical guidance to maintenance personnel on technical,operationaland procedural matters
  • Authorize MEL/CDL deferralsin accordance withFrontier procedures
  • Develop work scopes for MEL/CDL deferrals, including troubleshooting recommendations andrequiredmaterial requests
  • Authorize maintenance vendors for emergency maintenance and ferry flight inspections at non-maintenance stations
  • Advise SOC personnel whenaircraftrouting must support specific maintenance requirements
  • Exercise authority to removean aircraftfrom service when maintenance work has not been satisfactorily completed
  • Be directly in charge, under 121.378(b), of maintenance activities performed by contract maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with Frontier General Maintenance Manual policies and procedures
  • Ensure safetyremainsthe paramount consideration in maintenance-related decisions
  • Generate required operational reports andmaintainshift documentation and turnover information
  • Proactively manage deferrals that impact customer service
  • Perform other duties assigned by the M.O.D. or Senior Manager of the Department
