The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Construction Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, services, and equipment across Taylor Group facilities, including all properties.
  • Ensure the safe condition and operation of electrical fixtures and systems.
  • Advise and consult with maintenance personnel on repairs of production equipment.
  • In the absence of the Construction Manager, assume responsibilities such as prioritizing and scheduling work, managing manpower, and daily responsibilities.
  • Locate and order parts to maintain inventory, seeking cost-effective resources beyond the manufacturer when possible.
  • Assist in evaluating and purchasing new equipment.
  • Travel to outlying plants as needed for maintenance and repairs.
  • Complete work orders and maintain inventory of tools and materials.
  • Inspect completed jobs and ensure cleanliness.
  • Collaborate on building projects and respond to emergency calls.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in carpentry, including framing, finishing, sheetrock, ceilings, flooring, caulking, and trim work.
  • Ability to detect repairs needed on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Experience with highly specialized electrical repairs, saving costs and downtime.
  • Operate tools safely and ensure equipment is in safe condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and labor, estimate costs.
  • Follow safety procedures, including lifting and climbing.
  • Ability to pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).

Education and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in electrical, plumbing, phone, and data line repairs.
  • EPA certifications or licenses as required.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Good driving record for insurability.
