Role: Part-Time Memorial Coliseum - Maintenance Worker

Under the supervision of the Plant Facilities Manager, the Part-time Maintenance Worker performs maintenance tasks in one of three areas: Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing, or Audio/Visual. This position is not covered by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.

This is a part-time role and is not eligible for benefits.

Hours vary; nights and weekends are required.

Essential Functions:

Electrical

• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Change light bulbs
• Replace electrical devices such as receptacles and switches
• Set power according to client specifications
• Knowledge of data networks is a plus

HVAC/Plumbing

• Basic plumbing repairs
• Basic HVAC repairs

Audio/Visual

• Set up and operate sound equipment
• Identify different cables (e.g., Cat 5/6, Coax, XLR)
• Repair or create cables
• Knowledge of video and theatrical lighting programming is a plus
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge, experience, or aptitude in the designated area (Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing, Audio/Visual)
• Effective communication skills in a courteous and professional manner
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn Coliseum-specific software
• Ability to interpret drawings for event setups
• Flexible schedule
• Own tools and ability to use power tools safely
• Comfort working at heights from ground level to upper catwalks
• Good communication skills with team members and the Plant Facilities Manager
