Job summary

Fluor Corporation is seeking a student cooperative opportunity to assist technicians with general maintenance across a range of facilities equipment and systems. You will help with preventive maintenance, support work orders, and perform shop housekeeping while following safety programs.

Eligibility requires enrollment in an applicable degree program at RCTC for Employer Co-op opportunities. This role emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork with skilled trades, and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program at RCTC and eligible for Employer Co-op opportunities.
• Ability to perform heavy physical labor up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, plumbing, HVAC systems and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and tools.
• Effective communication and customer interfacing abilities.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with general maintenance work to develop maintenance skillset.
• Support PMs and client/proactive work orders.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in work areas and shop.
• Comply with Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.

Job Description

Summary

Assists technicians with general maintenance work on a variety of facilities equipment and systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Assists with general maintenance work to develop maintenance skillset.
• Assist mechanics with preventive maintenance (PM’s) and client/proactive work orders.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in the work areas and shop.
• Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.

Education & Experience

• Education: must be enrolled in applicable degree program at RCTC and be eligible for Employer Co-op opportunities
• Ability to complete heavy physical labor (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 50 lbs.)
• Have basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, plumbing, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Have basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and tools
• Appropriate communication skills
• Ability to interface with customers as needed
• Basic computer skills
