Job summary

JBS Foods seeks a Maintenance Clerk for the 2nd shift to support maintenance and inventory activities in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes stocking parts, tracking PM plans, documenting activities, and ensuring parts availability. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and strong organizational skills, with English proficiency and willingness to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Maintenance Clerk

JBS is seeking an hourly Maintenance Clerk 2nd Shift Team Member! Position starts at $22 per hour based on experience.

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for receiving and stocking machine parts for production in correct locations
• Tracks all PM-based job plans and manage PM backlog
• Document all PM’s and monitor through completion
• Ensures parts, materials, and tools are appropriately requisitioned and available to complete planned jobs
• Works with Manager of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance team to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs
• Tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability
• Assists with planning/scheduling effort for major plant turn-around and equipment overhauls.
• Works additional hours to support annual turn-around
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to type 35wpm and data entry
• Ability to learn computerized inventory systems
• Ability to understand facility terminology when needed to issue or order parts
• Perform accurate cycle counts to maintain correct inventory levels
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1 Year Maintenance Background preferred

Work Environment

ACTIVITIES: Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day

HEARING: Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

REPETITIVE MOTION: Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES: Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
