Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to manage and track equipment and component repairs, coordinating with vendors and internal teams. This role emphasizes accurate data entry, safety, and strong organization while using SAP and Microsoft Office daily.

You will review work orders, issue parts, enter requisitions, and log maintenance activities. Shift: 5:30am–2:00pm, pay $27 per hour, with a benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to verify all necessary parts have been properly issued and identify part requirements for follow-up work.
• Identify parts from drawings and directions from the maintenance team.
• Enter part requisitions based on maintenance needs.
• Track internal and external repairs, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.
• Perform data entry related to work orders, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate facility repairs (doors, dock levelers, HVAC, roofing, plumbing) including paperwork and system updates.
• Create work orders and purchase requisitions for mobile equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate equipment rentals as requested by maintenance or operations teams.
• Enforce and adhere to workplace safety practices as outlined by Atlas Tube Inc. and OHSA regulations.
• Provide maintenance manager with daily activities log.
• Maintain a database of ordered parts dispositions for daily review by maintenance planner and manager.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

About the Role

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for managing and tracking equipment and component repairs, both internally and externally. This role ensures timely coordination of facility and mobile equipment repairs, accurate data entry, and effective communication with vendors and internal teams. This individual is highly organized, safety-conscious, and proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications. The clerk will report to the maintenance planner.

Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm Pay: $27/Hour

What You'll Do

• Review work orders to verify all necessary parts have been properly issued and identify what part requirements are needed in follow up work.
