Job summary

Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries seeks a Maintenance Clerk to manage and track equipment repairs, coordinate facility and mobile equipment services, and maintain accurate data. You will issue and follow up on parts, enter work orders, and communicate with vendors and internal teams. Safety and documentation are key in this role.

The position reports to the maintenance planner, runs 5:30am–2:00pm, and pays $27/hour with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Enter data for work orders, repairs and maintenance records.
• Coordinate facility repairs (doors, HVAC, roofing, plumbing) and update systems.
• Create work orders and requisitions for mobile equipment repairs.
• Coordinate equipment rentals as requested by teams.
• Maintain daily activity logs for maintenance management.
• Ensure safety practices per Atlas Tube Inc. and OHSA regulations.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for managing and tracking equipment and component repairs, both internally and externally. This role ensures timely coordination of facility and mobile equipment repairs, accurate data entry, and effective communication with vendors and internal teams. This individual is highly organized, safety-conscious, and proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications. The clerk will report to the maintenance planner.

Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm

Pay: $27/Hour

What You'll Do:

• Review work orders to verify all necessary parts have been properly issued and identify what part requirements are needed in follow up work.

• Identify parts from available drawings and direction from the maintenance team.

• Enter part requisitions based on the needs of maintenance.

• Track internal and external repairs, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation.

• Perform data entry related to work orders, repairs, and maintenance records.

• Coordinate facility repairs (e.g., doors, dock levelers, HVAC, roofing, plumbing), including paperwork and system updates.

• Create work orders and purchase requisitions for mobile equipment repairs and maintenance.

• Coordinate equipment rentals as requested by the maintenance or operations teams.

• Enforce and adhere to workplace safety practices as outlined by Atlas Tube Inc. and OH&SA regulations.

• Provide maintenance manager with daily activities log

• Maintain a database of ordered parts dispositions to include the status of all open parts orders and provide this to the maintenance planner and maintenance manager for daily review.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
