Job summary

Ag Processing Inc in Mason City, IA is seeking a self-motivated full-time Maintenance person to join our team. You will diagnose issues, repair and replace equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

This role requires reading equipment specs, operating forklifts and other heavy tools, and complying with safety regulations. On-call availability and successful pre-employment screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical or construction work.
• Ability to read equipment specifications.
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
• On-call availability as needed.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace broken equipment after analysis and determine needed parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Fabricate plant items from metal or wood using welding tools and shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards.

Job description

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) currently has an opening for a self-motivated full time Maintenance person to join our team in Mason City, IA! This person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment after completing diagnosis and troubleshooting various issues.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problem and determining what materials/parts are needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Fabricate new plant items out of metal or wood using welder's torches, band saws, presses, and other tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate.
• Maintain plant sanitation standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent
• Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
• Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications
• Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed)
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
