The City of Temple Terrace seeks a Maintenance Attendant II for the Public Works department. The role involves maintaining city streets and related structures, operating heavy-duty equipment, and participating in an after-hours call rotation. STARTING SALARY: $19.71 - $21.68 per hour
POSITION NO: 7.170
DEPT: Public Works
The roadways right-of-way (i.e., sidewalks, stormwater systems, signs, roadway, etc.). This position performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance of City streets including curbs, gutters, storm drains, and other related structures. Additionally, this position performs roadway/parking lot striping work as well as concrete and asphalt repairs. Further work activities include the operation and maintenance of a variety of hand and power tools, backhoes, skid steers, boom trucks, and utility vehicles.
Employees must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Additionally, this position is required to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to address maintenance related activities during off work hours.
In the event of an emergency or natural/manmade disaster, this position will be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by Emergency Management or City Administration. Such assignments may be before, during, and after an emergency or disaster.
