Job summary

The Slate Denver, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located in downtown Denver, seeks a Maintenance Attendant to support hotel facilities and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and routine upkeep to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Join our team and help maintain critical hotel systems, respond to emergencies, and contribute to ongoing maintenance programs across guest areas and event spaces.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of maintenance systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (lockout/tagout) is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
• Assist with maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks across refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and A/C units.
• Monitor utility consumption (electricity, gas, water) and report issues.
• Ensure maintenance projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures, including lockout-tagout.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas as scheduled.
• Log and report findings from equipment checks.
• Report safety and security concerns to Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty.
• Maintain secure key inventory and follow security procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist as needed.
• Support ongoing maintenance programs for event spaces and hotel equipment.
• Keep workspaces and storage areas clean and organized.

Pay Range: $21/hour

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Attendant supports the maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all facilities and equipment are functioning properly. This role assists with preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and general upkeep, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Provide professional and courteous service at all times.
• Assist with maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, A/C units, and hotel equipment.
• Monitor electric, gas, and water consumption and report issues as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
• Practice safety procedures, including lockout-tagout, in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas as scheduled.
• Conduct maintenance checks of equipment and properly log findings.
• Report all safety and security concerns to the Chief Engineer or Manager on Duty immediately.
• Maintain key inventory and ensure security procedures are followed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and storage areas.

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies.
