Job description

Overview

The Maintenance Associate Leader will lead the second shift (2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) within the Maintenance department at Frankfort East, overseeing a team of front‑line maintenance mechanics. This role focuses on people development, motivating the team, and ensuring high‑quality performance while driving cost efficiency, continuous process improvement, and maintaining safety and reliability metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 5 to 20 maintenance mechanics with varying levels of experience and education.
  • Drive people and team development to enhance quality, performance, cost, service, and safety.
  • Motivate the team to achieve performance targets and encourage continuous learning and growth.
  • Develop team members to solve technical and operational issues.
  • Organize and facilitate regular team meetings (e.g., pre‑shift meetings, roundtables) to discuss issues, share updates, and improve processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve problems effectively on the floor.
  • Lead initiatives to improve communication and engagement across departments.
  • Resolve daily operational issues and address obstacles to achieving performance goals.
  • Implement process enhancements using visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization.
  • Prioritize maintenance needs and opportunities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead and initiate project implementation that supports site‑wide objectives and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; candidates with engineering or other technical degrees preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in problem‑solving and achieving performance targets in operational settings.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to drive results and manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance leadership or team‑based role in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Expected compensation range: $66,900 – $111,950.
  • Salary will be determined based on location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education.
  • Bonus based on performance; target payout is 8% of annual salary, paid annually.
  • Paid time off, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement, subject to eligibility.
