Job summary

Morningstar Properties is seeking a part-time Maintenance Associate in Tallahassee, FL to maintain and improve our storage and marina facility. You will perform routine maintenance, handle groundskeeping, and ensure a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.

The role requires hands-on skills, basic tool use, and a willingness to learn. A valid Florida driver’s license is needed for occasional driving. Flexible schedule and team-oriented mindset are important for success.

Qualifications

• Past maintenance and/or janitorial experience required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Handy with tools; basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• HVAC repairs experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license in Florida required for occasional driving.
• Ability to move around the property and work hands-on.
• Curiosity, reliability, and ability to work independently.
• Team-oriented attitude with a flexible schedule.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and team members.
• Own the property appearance and grounds, including landscaping, cleaning, trash, and restrooms.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and minor roof repairs.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists on schedule.
• Operate the company truck for maintenance tasks as needed.
• Communicate status and needs with the Property Manager and teammates.
