FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

COMPANY OVERVIEW: C&C Produce has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility, equipment, and systems. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and supporting the overall upkeep of the building and grounds. The Maintenance Associate works closely with other departments to resolve maintenance-related issues promptly and maintains accurate records of all work performed. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and functional work environment.

SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday (some weekend as needed)
HOURS: 7:30AM-4:30PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining the company's facilities' cleanliness
• Ensuring that all the equipment and machinery are in working condition.
• Escalating high defective items for repair
• Performing facility maintenance
• Repairing equipment and buildings
• Providing cleaning services
• Removing trash and recyclable materials
• Overseeing the work of contracted vendors as required
• Attending training, safety programs, and staff meetings
• Preparing accurate repair and cleaning reports
• Troubleshooting, repairing and replacing any equipment.
• Using power tools to fix wiring and piping.
• Receiving orders or going out to acquire more supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous general labor or Warehouse experience
• 3 years of general building maintenance in a warehouse/industrial setting
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• 1 year of warehouse lift equipment experience that includes: Electric pallet jack, sit-down forklift & stand up.
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read & legibly write instructions and communications.
• Excellent communication and social skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to lift up to 50lbs periodically throughout day
• Strong manual dexterity to manipulate objects
• Able to primarily stand and walk throughout shift
