High School Students - 16 years of age or older - Valid Drivers License

Qualifications:
Required: Must be 16 years of age. Physically able to perform the specific job. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Successful completion of a background check, physical capacity assessment, and drug screen prior to start date.

FLSA: Non-Exempt
Salary Schedule: $12.00 per hour

Purpose: This person is responsible for general upkeep of the grounds, maintenance work, and operation of motorized equipment as instructed by the Director of Operations or in conjunction with staff appointed representative.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
• Work in conjunction with assigned staff member or supervisor to maintain the grounds and buildings of the St. Joseph School District. Work is performed under a variety of conditions, such as extreme heat.
• Operate power equipment as required for the specific task.
• Safeguard the School District property, buildings, grounds, and equipment from damage in the performance of these duties.
• Work in conjunction with assigned staff member, supervisor, or other maintenance staff performing necessary grounds projects such as mowing, seeding, and application of chemicals.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Maintenance & Operations or his appointed representative.
• Maintain appropriate grooming and appearance to work in a school setting.
• Limit cell phone use to essential conversation only.
• Tobacco of any form is prohibited at all times.
• Perform other assigned duties.
