Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance tasks in the Columbus area. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, on-site at Urbancrest, OH, with potential overtime.

Responsibilities include equipment upkeep, battery care, basic repairs, and safety compliance. Candidates should be mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 70 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to lift 35-45 pounds on average and up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Able to work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Good team/customer/vendor relations and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Must obtain and maintain sit-down forklift certification.
• Trained in NSG LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance support throughout the warehouse and office areas.
• Operate warehouse floor sweeper and perform MHE battery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Carry out basic handyman repairs and operate power tools proficiently.
• Support preventative maintenance for all equipment, painting and repairs.
• Overtime and off-shift work may be required to complete maintenance tasks.
