Qualifications

• Four or more years maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare.
• HVAC certificate preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in the state employed is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Residence mission and values to residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Engage with potential residents and families to support occupancy growth.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on residence equipment.
• Ensure work areas are free of hazards and safe.
• Replace burned-out light bulbs and assist with housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance work and service calls.

As needed

Wage band: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on years of experience!

SUMMARY:

Performs routine maintenance and repair of residence, maintaining physical appearance of the grounds and building as well as ensuring that the building is physically sound and safe. Works with outside contractors as needed. Responsible for cleaning residents rooms and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc. Discards waste into proper containers, replaces light bulbs and assists with any general housekeeping/laundry duties as necessary

4. 4. Performs routine maintenance and repair on the residence equipment.
5. 5. Ensures work area is free of hazardous conditions.
6. 6. Attends all required in-service trainings and/or orientations.
7. 7. Participates in the communities on call program at the discretion of the MD and ED.
8. 8. Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing environmental services.
9. 9. Replaces burned out light bulbs for exit lights, overhead lights, room call lights, exterior lights, etc.
10. 10. May act as contact person for vendors performing maintenance jobs.
11. 11. Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
12. 12. Discards waste/trash into prop containers and re-lines trash receptacles.
13. 13. Discards waste/trash into facility dumpsters

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

• b. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of maintenance functions and techniques, OSHA standards, state and local fire codes and other safety regulations required. The ability to organize and provide the maintenance needs of the residence and to work with outside vendors and contractors as required.
• c. The ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essential. Requires frequent heavy lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and stretching. Requires moving of heavy furniture, equipment and boxes.
• d. Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• e. Experience: Four or more years maintenance experience is required, preferably in the health care industry.
• f. Certificates/Licenses: HVAC certificate preferred. Valid drivers license in the state employed is required.
