Maintenance Assistant Technician (1st Shift)

Job Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director or his assistant, the Maintenance Tech is responsible for the boiler room, electrical room, mechanical room, and all mechanical equipment. Operates Pleasant Acres motor vehicles. Performs all phases of maintenance mechanic work at various levels. Employment is contingent on successful completion of pre-employment screenings, criminal background check, and Medicaid Exclusion screening.

Responsibilities

• Requires extensive and progressive experience in maintenance work with appropriate schooling or tech certification, but not necessary.
• May be required to work overtime as assigned (snow removal, disasters, etc.).
• Conducts preventive maintenance, audits, inspections, and completes work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Assists in the upkeep of grounds and provides security to the institution as directed.
