An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance of a senior living facility. This role involves performing essential repairs, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for residents. This position assists the Director of Buildings & Grounds with any project or repair to ensure the facility is safe for residents and staff, attractive and well maintained.

Demonstrates and maintain a positive professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, promotes a team approach, participates in appropriate problem solving methods.
With respect to resident rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for residents, reports all complaints made by residents and or families to supervisor, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/resident property, or any other compliance items immediately.
May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which you were hired and be subject to call-back during emergency conditions.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information about residents, family, employees, and IPH residence.
Must enjoy working with the senior population.
Perform job duties in a manner that aligns with the IPH mission of providing a gracious senior living in a Christian surrounding.
Demonstrates good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
Education:
Must possess High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of related experience or training.
Must have valid drivers’ license and clean DMV record.
Physical Demands
Capable of climbing, walking long distance, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying weights from 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in heights and confined spaces.
Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Able to work outdoors on uneven surfaces in hot and cold weather, and occasionally in snow or rain.
Operate equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
While performing duties of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under time restraints.
Must handle novel and diverse work problems on a daily basis.
