The City of Coral Springs is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support skilled trades in building upkeep and repairs across city facilities. You'll assist electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and custodians, performing routine tasks and helping move tools and materials.
Responsibilities include cleaning interiors/exteriors, painting, changing light bulbs, vehicle operation, and monthly checks. A Florida driver’s license and basic knowledge of maintenance tools are required.
Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of City facilities. Assists facilities maintenance workers or a skilled building trades person in building maintenance and repair work relevant to carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical and custodial trades and performs other related duties as assigned.

Examples of Duties
High school graduation or equivalent and working knowledge of tools and equipment used in maintenance, repair or construction work.
Possession of valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
