Position: Maintenance Assistant (Part-time)

Edenbrook of Hampton is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Assistant.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Proficiency in basic carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping.
  • Ability to work responsibly as part of a team and independently.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Effective communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
  • Honesty, fairness, dependability, and respect for confidentiality and privacy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations regarding plant equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
  • Skill in directing and motivating a workforce.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Positive and cooperative attitude towards residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Relevant experience in electronic systems, carpentry, masonry, etc.
  • Compliance with all health regulations, including background checks and references.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
