Our community is looking for a 3rd Shift Facility Operations Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and team members.
- Perform routine maintenance to complete service requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Routine duties may include fixing wall and floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, basic plumbing, minor electrical repairs, appliance repairs, painting, and refurbishing projects.
- Support the execution of the preventative maintenance program.
- Assist with systems such as heating and air conditioning, domestic water, pumps, refrigeration, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
- Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance.
- Conduct deep cleaning and prepare rooms ('make ready').
- Participate in Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Technical school education preferred.
- At least one year of maintenance and/or housekeeping experience.
- Basic technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance; mechanical ability for routine repairs.
- Understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life, and safety regulations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently.
