Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, locksmith, energy.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work varied hours, locations and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance duties across carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, locksmith and energy.
• Installs new equipment and repairs or replaces defective equipment.
• Cleans, services, oils or adjusts equipment.
• Operates routine preventive maintenance on College vehicles and notifies for required maintenance.
• Performs preventative maintenance and part repairs per schedule.
• Uses CMMS work orders to log time and work performed.
• Prepares work order materials pulled from stock.
• Responds to inquiries and assists technical staff across trades.
• Communicates with city inspectors and vendors as needed.
• Adheres to safety and health regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
