Job summary

St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH, part of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team.

The role includes maintenance, housekeeping, and weekend rotation, supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. Ideal candidates have general maintenance experience, are dependable and able to work with little supervision, and will float between maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties as needed to ensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic maintenance skills and willingness to perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Strong customer service skills with compassion and respect for our residents.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the facility.
• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
• Help maintain heating and cooling equipment as directed.
• Replace light bulbs and complete general building upkeep.
• Maintain the grounds and outdoor areas as needed.
• Work closely with nursing and other departments to provide exceptional service to residents.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas.

We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance/Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. This position includes every other weekend and is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate is dependable, self‑motivated, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Candidates should have some general maintenance experience and be willing to float between maintenance projects and housekeeping duties as needed.
