Job summary

Ridgewood Center in New Hampshire is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time, Monday through Friday position. A $2,500 retention bonus is offered, and full-time staff may receive Medical Benefits or Modified Compensation, which adds 25% to the base pay.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance tasks to keep the facility clean, safe, and orderly, performing small repairs, changing HVAC filters, stocking supplies, and stepping in for supervision when needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent and basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant completes a variety of tasks to maintain the nursing center and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition along with a pleasing appearance.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence
