Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at a senior living facility. This position will work under the supervision of the Director of Plant Operations. In this role, you will support the maintenance team to ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are kept in excellent condition. The role will also ensure that both private rooms and shared spaces meet the highest standards of safety and readiness. This position requires a compassionate, -centered mindset and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including minor repairs and cleaning.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.
  • Ensure room readiness for new by preparing and inspecting rooms for cleanliness, safety, and functionality prior to occupancy.
  • Support upkeep of outdoor areas, such as landscaping and snow removal.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address requests promptly.
  • Monitor supplies and report inventory needs to the Director of Plant Operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and facility policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
