Job summary

The Wellstone Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Department in a long-term care facility. You will follow directives from the Director of Maintenance to ensure the facility is safe, clean, and comfortable in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work with various stakeholders, uphold maintenance practices, and maintain a patient, cheerful demeanor while performing day-to-day duties.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and may be directed by the Director of Maintenance to assure our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess the ability to follow instructions, and to accept constructive critisism.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

• Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in the long-term care facility.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition.
