Job summary

Monarch Communities and Brandywine Senior Living seeks a Maintenance Assistant to keep the community safe, clean, and comfortable. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, service equipment, and prepare apartments for move-ins, while engaging residents with professionalism and care.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, and pays $20.00 per hour. A HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience are required. Training and PTO are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year hands-on maintenance or related experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with residents with respect and confidentiality.
• Responds to maintenance service requests and informs supervisor of needed resources.
• Monitors building, grounds and equipment for proper maintenance.
• Performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeep tasks.
• Handles and stores chemicals safely; maintains SDS logs per OSHA.
• Maintains knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Plan.
• Assists Maintenance Director with monthly Emergency Drills.
• Assists with evacuating residents in emergencies.
