Job summary

Catholic Charities Senior Communities seeks a Maintenance Assistant to uphold the upkeep of building and grounds across multiple locations in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Garrett, Harford counties and Baltimore City. The role is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, at $17.25 per hour.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and spaces, performing basic repairs, maintaining public areas, and handling trash and snow removal.

Qualifications

Must be punctual with consistent attendance.
Good relational skills with courteous demeanor toward staff, clients, and visitors.
Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning solutions.
Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools.
Competent with basic computer, web browsing, and email.

Responsibilities

Cleans floors, carpets, lights, equipment, HVAC vents, behind washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, and windows. Power washes areas as needed.
Answers housekeeping calls; cleans and resupplies restrooms.
Performs trash and recycling removal from entire building throughout the day and recycling.
Maintains public space areas, to include but not limited to, buildings, plants, grounds, walkways, entrances, and related sites to keep clean and orderly.
Clears entrances and sidewalks of snow, ice, and other debris timely and as needed.
Maintains documentation of maintenance activities, reporting problems found during inspections and repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
