Job Description

Sunlite Plastics, a division of Diversatek, Inc., has an exciting opportunity in our Medical Tubing Division in Wisconsin. We are looking for a full-time, experienced Maintenance Assistant – 1st Shift to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, as well as maintaining facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a good balance of mechanical and electrical experience.

The hours for the position are:

• Monday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
• Tuesday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs equipment and building repairs.
• Provides quick response to production downtime.
• Sets up tooling and machinery.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance.
• Uses computers to create and maintain purchase orders, maintenance, and repair logs.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, electrical diagrams, and drawings.
• Knowledge of PLCs and electronic controls is a plus.
• Experience with extrusion or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Education and Experience:

• Technical, Associate’s, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on facilities and equipment maintenance experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to walk, bend, stoop, balance, and stand for long periods.
• Must be able to use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, and move materials.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
